Oh gosh…it seems like forever since I’ve been in this little space of mine! Only a few days back in my city before I headed north for a girls week in Provincetown…affectionately called Ptown. I’d never been in the Cape Cod area of Massachusetts before and had no idea how breathtakingly beautiful the area was going to be! Like my friends in the Netherlands say…I was so “short of eyes” during the entire trip…the Dutch meaning – there was so much to see and take in! All I can say is thank goodness for the Kennedy influence in preserving so much of this little corner of our world and a big shout out to all the creative folks who live there!
We stayed in a little waterfront cottage where the light was always saying… Look at me! Look at me! Luring me in always…
The harbor, excellent restaurants, rolling sand dunes and a lively mix of straight and LGBT made it a fun destination for sure! It’s easy to see why the area attracts photographers and painters…the incredible light and picturesque surroundings make it a paradise for all.
There were walks along the beaches and in the sand dunes…so clean!
Always love the wabi-sabiness and the details!
And walks around the adorable little harbor town…just filled with gardens to die for!
and of course details!
If you aren’t an instagrammer…you can find a couple more pics of homes filled with so much sweetness here and here…and some more details here, here, here and here!
And there was a day of birthday celebration backdrops – surprise! – a future one (my big 6-0!) since we won’t all be together later this year. And it never hurts to start the celebration early, right?!
The day included a little henna party…as well as wonderful deep conversation on aging…the pulling of tarot cards, as well as animal cards. I pulled the nine of cups…meaning satisfaction, contentment and it’s also referred to as a wish card…meaning a wish will be granted…hmm! I also pulled the crow card…symbolizing creation and spiritual growth. Wow! I’ll take all of this!
But truly…the icing on the birthday cake was a fire on the beach…my first ever…complete with roasted hotdogs, marshmallows and a perfect sunset!
It was just the best week with good weather and really great friends!
I’m a very fortunate girl.
More soon now that I’m settled back in my city!

I’ve just been reading (listening) to some fascinating stories about the Kennedys and up pops your wonderful long beaches
and Kennedy-esque beauty-share…..thank you! I loved strolling along through those gardens with you. And the campfire on the beach – swoon.
So much beauty and great vibe. Thanks for letting us take it all in with you.

Happy early birthday wishes and celebration, Robin. I can just imagine how you loved P-Town. I’ve been there only once…the year Josh Groban was discovered. You could hear him singing in store after store we entered! I’d love to go back and see it all with new eyes. Being “short of eyes” would be an understatement, for sure. CONGRATULATIONS for celebrating in style. You go, Girl.

Perfectly gorgeous & fun images! Lovely light and gardens and long stretch of beautiful beach but my favs, of course, are the weathered wood and that sweet teddy bear in the window.
I have never traveled to that part of the country … yet. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all on this trip, especially around that awesome fire.
