Nothing screams Summer in the City than Summer Streets in NYC! Always look forward to August, as three consecutive Saturdays with nearly seven miles of NYC’s streets are opened for people to play, walk, and bike beginning on Park Avenue as far north as Central Park down south to the Brooklyn Bridge entrance. One huge block party with people watching galore!
Chatted with these fellas who were walking to the court house to get married! How cool is that?
Yep, people watching at its finest…these guys were looking quite dapper on their morning stroll!
Good times and the day was BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy the weekend!

XXXOOO MORE, GH
The city and all it’s beauty captured through your lens 🙂
Having lived in Atlanta 25 years, I’m trying to imagine such a thing and I can’t. WOW. With every NYC post I am understanding why you love it there so much!
Great captures, Robin. I can’t believe I’ve missed knowing so much about the city when I lived in NY/NJ the majority of my 50 years! Are you going to do the zip-line? It’s on my bucket list! How much fun is that, almost 7-miles of no motor vehicle traffic in the city. Keep on rockin, Robin! Are wabi-sabi Saturdays coming back for the fall/winter?
Dapper indeed. Love these!
Awesome photos! I love how you captured the various summer scenes in NYC! Xo
Thanks everyone! This is such a wonderful time in the city when they close the streets! xoxo
I love your photos. I’m an urban girl at heart. Wedding bells for two gents looking fabulicious in their tuxes. Awesome!!!

Great shot. I lived in NYC quite a while ago. I wish this street closure was done then. I would have been out there!
Love the shots! What fun that the streets are open to walking and biking and playing during those times!
These are great shots of life in the city. Blessings!
