Ed Ruscha’s Honey, I Twisted Through More Damn Traffic Today at West 22nd Street. The 28 x 50-foot mural is the artist’s first public commission in NYC.
There’s nothing like spring in nyc!
the art of aging
[…] Several of you ask me about the story behind the pink bloom surrounding the rail line in my last posting…so here’s the […]
I always love the way blossoms and greenery give a different perspective to things, an especially when you look at that photo of the railway line. What’s that about I wonder ?
Hey Duckie, the railway line photo is from the High Line…stay tuned…I have a post coming up on it! Thanks for checking in!
Beautiful flowers. I love them all. However, I’m still trying to figure out what the heck that man is trying to do to poor Frosty the Snowman??? XoXo
LOL! It’s always so fun to hang out in Union Square…as one never knows what one might see! This guy was a character for sure! Thank you!!
So very pretty in pink!
Thanks Karen!! The city is just bursting!
Those pictures are a treat. Such wonderful colours.
The tiny swim-trunk for the guy should be forbidden. I hope the snowman pressed charges :D…
LOL!!! Always love your comments! xoxo
lovely pics..had to chuckle at the man in the tiny briefs….. 🙂
Yes, he was something! Thanks Pat!
You really don’t miss much, do you, Ms. Robin! LOL. 😀
I try hard not too, lol!
A beautiful lot, Robin!
My favorite is the one you made of the IAC Building – all that Frank Ghery translucent white goodness with just a little bit of pink – fantastic!
Thanks Steve!! So appreciate you dropping in! Oh, and I adore Ghery’s buildings here in nyc!
All this color and beauty just made my soul happy! But I agree with Astrid about the tiny swim trunk guy and the snowman pressing charges, perfect!!
OMG…this guy was so funny! Honestly, I couldn’t tell if he was acting or if it was the real deal! Thanks my sweet for dropping in!
Love the beauty of the blossoms, especially the railroad and all the crazy characters.
Kind of makes me think, “Yuck” about men, though. Poor Frosty. I hope you used a telephoto lens and didn’t have to see those 2 guys that close. Well, Spring does feel good enough to act crazy after the awful long winter everyone endured in NY.
BTW, is that the building on the West Side Hwy that is lit up purple at night? Love that bldg.
Just realized it’s the same Dude in both shots, Duh. Unless there are two crazies with matching bikini bottoms, LOL.
There’s always the possibility of two crazies with matching bikini bottoms, but this time it is only one person! LOL And yes, poor FROSTY!! Thank you!!
Lovely street shots Robin! Nothing like NYC.
Thanks Marie!
Yet another wonderful collection of shots, I love the cycle shot but I confess I cycle so it’s a biker thing, the lone pink tree against the building is sublime, the dude with the exceptional pants is bizarre yet strangely compelling mainly because of the questions and possible narrative. I love the train tracks I would be there in a heartbeat as I suspect there are a host of images awaiting.
Shooter you would LOVE the High Line!! Thank you for your nice comments!!
The blooms are so beautiful!
Indeed! Thanks Mary!
Perfect pinks Robin!
Thanks Elena! Always appreciate you dropping in!
