What would we do without the Central Park Conservancy? Can you believe a reservoir fountain was constructed back in 1917, yet rarely in operation since? So thank you CPC for bringing it back after all these years!
The one of many things I love about the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir is the fact it covers both the east and the west sides of the park with tremendous views for everyone to enjoy. There’s somehow a sense of space here, unlike any other in Central Park.
I know the fountain will be going away soon as the cold weather commences, so a post was needed in honor of its rebirth and beauty. Until spring…
Oh, and btw, when you do experience the path around it, don’t be one of those annoying people who insists in walking/jogging in the wrong direction around the 1.5 mile loop!
