Riding the funicular up to the top of Hormiguera hill in Guanajuato will provide you with these incredible views, but it’s the long walk down through narrow cobblestone callejones (alleyways) that’s just as fascinating. There’s no doubt, it’s a paradise for photographers and I could spend days meandering these intricate callejones to capture the color, the textures, the people, the details of every day life. Oh, and talk about wabi-sabi…oh my!
Coming up…some different takes on San Miguel de Allende, Mexico…

Love the textures, colors and woman in the window!
I have to tell you Robin, I may not be a connoisseur in photography, but your photos are the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen other peoples blogs, magazines, books, galleries, etc. but you capture the world, people, places, things with such a unique perspective that evokes so many emotions, it’s mind-blowing. You truly have a great gift and I’m so grateful you are so generous to share it.
XOXO
Wow. Well thanks Lisa, but there are tons of excellent photographers in the world. I just have a passion for the ordinary and for people. Thanks for telling me it shows in my work! And thanks always for following along!
Do you think student #1 on the left with the sunglasses would be interested in being an exchange student? There are so many colleges right here in NC.
