The New York Botanical Garden is a must at spring time…but even better when there’s a Chihuly exhibition.
Couldn’t resist getting a little closer look at those ferns growing in and around the rock formation. Oh, and that amazing azalea.
Always fun to paint with the camera when you have Chihuly glass!
Inside the Conservatory…
Just loved finding that little corner of the garden that probably 99.9% of the people walking by wouldn’t even notice.
I could’ve stayed there for hours playing.
The peonies are mind – blowing. This white one was probably six inches or so wide. More painting with the camera…
Yep…that little place again.
So need to return at different times of the day for the lighting and just play there.
And then there’s that Jade Vine in the Conservatory…an amazing specimen!
Oh how I’d love to have that bloom to play with in the studio.
As much as I loved this exhibit…I’ll have to give credit where credit is due.
Chihuly’s exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden in Arizona was far more spectacular.
However, just being at the New York Botanical Garden is always a treat and so happy to have a membership there.
Love supporting an organization that provides so much medicine to the soul!
