This is why I ❤️ my city!

“Look at pigeons the same way that you would look at a rose, or a bed of wild flowers.
They are beautiful and unique with each one being different from the rest.”

Meet Tina…aka mother pigeon.
She makes soft sculpture pigeons.
I found her in Washington Square Park.
Learn more about why she chose pigeons and the material she uses at www.motherpigeon.com
So adorable…can’t wait to see her and her flock again!
oh how I love:)
reminds me of Mary Poppins
(“feed the birds”…..God, how that moved me
when I was little)
thanks for sharing this treasure,
Jennifer
Fantastic shots. I love the composition and angle of the B&W photo with mother pigeon in the background and the birds in the foreground.
Such a great photo journalistic view! I often wish I had the ability to act as a roving reporter, seeking stories and taking pictures. But, so often, people are very guarded these days. But New York seems different in this respect – an openness and willingness to share. I love the artwork of mother pigeon – beautiful detail and craftsmanship. I can see why you love NY!
Right on, Mother Pigeon … you rock!
I got such a kick out of this. Once again, only in NY would you find Mother Pigeon, the artist!
Love her work and love her hat and style. I can just imagine her family walking down the street in their homemade clothes with all the pigeons following her.
I was always told to stay away from the pigeons when I was a kid – They carried disease, blah, blah. But, I always thought they are pretty, too and love their coo. Then there’s the carrier pigeons – How cool is that?
Great captures and adventures, as always, Robin.
Thanks for sharing.
Love and hugs.

Unbelievable! I guess anything is possible in your city, dear Robin!
Wow, that is just amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it. But then, I’ve never seen anything like “your city” before… 🙂 Very interesting how she makes her pigeons… Thanks for sharing. Love and hugs. XoXo
This is wonderful. I love this lady and her wonderfully made pigeons. So creative and nothing is strange in your City. Thanks for sharing.
Love and hugs.
Love it!:)
Beautiful photos, and I loved her story. That’s true NYC style …
