Well Easter isn’t Easter without an Easter egg hunt, right?
Loved seeing the doormen and porters hiding Easter eggs for the children in their buildings.
Oh, and no plastic for these kiddies. These are the real deal.
Real eggs for the Upper East Siders!
So on to the Easter Parade on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan… Always a fun time and challenging one to photograph. Yes, plenty of people that’s willing to pose, but you have to fight the zillions of photographers (many rude ones too! – come on people – it’s EASTER!) as well as the sun shining bright one second and then shade the next… Needless to say, it was exhausting, yet educational in the photography department and I wouldn’t have missed it! Based on the crowds, it was more “portrait style” this year and thought b&w would be a nice change.
Easter! It’s a wrap until next year!

Only in ‘your” NYC! I loved all of these frissy. Once again, you really nailed it BIG time.. The two little boys in Central Park, the toddler in the dress and hat, and of course the smiling eyes of Ms. Columbia are my favorites! Thanks so much for sharing your Easter photos with us. XoXo

Ms. Columbia was so adorable. Since I called him by name you’d thought I was his new best friend. And it doesn’t hurt to know Carino either…his dog. 🙂 I thought of you instantly! Wish you could’ve been there! xoxo And always…thank you…always my biggest supporter.

…….and the winner is….. the guy with the basket with eggs….
well to be honest, I think they are all winners. These people make something out of life. Fabulous, they go out and have a great time in glorious harmony. Why cannot we do this all the time.
Dear Robin, fabulous shots, and I know you had a heyday!!!!
The two boys with the bag on the grass, super.

Great shots, Robin. Love the color in the first three and absolutely enjoyed the black & white portraits. What an array of characters, too funny! I’m sure all those rude photographers couldn’t hold a candle to your captures. Thanks for sharing and glad to know you’re out again doing what you love.
You’re in my heart, always, my dear Robin.
XOXO

I’m so in love with all of these but for some reason the window box and the lone pretty egg really spoke Easter to me. Your b&w people portraits are astonishing!
gotham girl says
Thanks Susan! I too adored that scene!

Every image a prize! FAntastic! It must have been a challenge to go bl&wh with all the vibrant color, but a very good call because the imagined color is even more vibrant, and we get to SEE the people!
gotham girl says
It was a challenge to go b&w Elena, and so true what you’ve said…we get to SEE the people instead of all the color. Great comment, THANK YOU!
