Quite often Miksang moments are experienced and captured here in the city, such as this one on the popular elevated park in Manhattan called the High Line. Currently the High Line consists of sections 1 and 2 and will take you through the Meatpacking District and Chelsea area of Manhattan. Section 3 is the northern most section and currently a work in progress. A recent tour provided an up close and personal experience of the final stretch. Still very much in the raw, there is a sculpture installation created by Brooklyn-based artist Carol Bove sprinkled in for enjoyment. So stay tuned for an upcoming post showing you first hand what the third and final section looks like today, before heavy construction begins.
P.S. Recently a blogger friend of mine – Katrin of Daily Perfect Moment asked if I’d share a Miksang overview as part of her photo workshop series she has with her readers. So I’ll let you know when that’s posted! Oh, and btw…Katrin is one talented artist!
