My wabi-sabi find of the week!
This weeks wabi-sabi find of the week is an old game hunting stand that I came across on the farm that my dad built back in the day. The plyboard ceiling even makes for a great example of pareidolia!
Is it the face of a wild boar? an anteater? an aardvark?
What do you see?
This is an ongoing series on Saturdays showcasing my wabi-sabi find of the week. What is wabi-sabi? Learn about it here and here.

Way cool frissy. I see one boar (on the left) with his nose under the aardvark’s neck. I had to look up aardvark to find out its name means earth pig! Thanks for sharing all this good stuff about wabi-sabi because it’s very interesting. Luv & hugs. GH

Another “oh yeah!” All that and you taught me a new word (pareidolia). 🙂 I sure am learning a lot about your dad as well as about you in these posts on the Farm. I love it.

Oh Ginnie, thank you!!! xoxo

HA… een aardvarken (Dutch)
I always see things in objects, that is so much fun to have a great imagination.
I scrolled through your ‘last week’. WOW what a snow, that must have been heaven and that rainbow, beautiful. My guess is that the farm is on a higher level and that this was just the top of the rainbow?
Love the B&W picture, I assume that you are the one in the foreground? Pictures from our youth are so much fun to look at.
Have a great day!!

Astrid, thank you soooo much for taking the time to look at my postings and commenting! Yes, what would we do without imagination! Big hugs!

Oops…I just realized I failed to answer your questions! Yes, the remaining acreage of the farm is on top of a hill with a beautiful view of the Roanoke Valley. Over the years my parents have sold a big portion of it. And yes, that’s little ole me in the foreground!

Love these images!, particularly the detailed texture of the wood, it almost looks painted.
If it’s ok with you, i wanted to ask if i could use that image for my dissertation essay, of course with given credits to yourself 🙂
beautiful work.
