Grab a picnic basket from the Farm Kitchen, make your way through rows of pecan trees and picnic tables…pass through the gardens…walk by the chicken house full of hens and a rooster… and arrive at the Artist’s studio and Cottage on the Farm at South Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona.   Make yourself at home was not only the greeting, but the feeling you get when you enter the 1940’s farm house filled with unique and creative pieces by local artisans.  Art classes, writing workshops, lectures, wine tastings, and retreats are just a few of their monthly calendar offerings…I know what I’m doing during one of my future trips back to the desert!
