The Statue of Liberty (or Miss Liberty) is showing her age just a bit, so she’ll close for a year at the end of October. But Liberty Island will remain open and the statue itself will be mostly unobstructed from view. From what I’ve read, the experience won’t really change and the general consensus is the renovation won’t have a significant impact on visitation.
