OK, here’s our lesson for the day. April is National Poetry month. Who knew?
What immediately came to mind is the Poets House located at 10 River Terrace on the banks of the Hudson River here in Manhattan. Just happened to pass by this location one day and decided to take a peek inside. Brimming with books, a 50,000 volume archive, the facility is entirely dedicated to the art of poetry. A modern, spacious facility with interesting artwork and an area to sit, read and enjoy the river views.
So if poetry is your thing and you happen to be in the Battery Park area, I bet this month there’ll be a few activities to check out!
So very cool to think that there’s a whole house devoted to just poetry. There’s something for everyone in NYC.
