The baked goods at Kitchenette, an adorable little diner on Chambers Street in the Tribeca area of Manhattan, is a must. A sweet atmosphere filled with architectural artifacts from upstate New York and tables made from old doors.
Sharing a slice of deep chocolate cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting made me reminisce… You see my Mom would make something similar for all my birthdays growing up. Even Zagats says it’s the best place to go for mom’s cooking! Oh, so true. At least in the dessert section of the menu. A return visit is required to check out their other menu offerings and compare.
But next time I must try the Red Velvet milkshake, or was it the Campfire S’more milkshake, or was it the Strawberry Shortcake milkshake?? Oh dear!!!
