I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center here in Manhattan. (Thank you Mushmina!) This event is the premier gift and decorative accessories market in the United States.
My favorite was the section called Handmade® Global Design representing 200 global import resources with a focus on good design, traditional craftsmanship, and community building. Booth after booth of top designers in collaboration with artisans from all over the world developing innovative product. The creativity was incredible!
After many hours on our feet we took time out to have a bite. Of course I had to help my friend Suzan with her birthday dog!

There was a complete section on children’s stuff, but I didn’t have time to go there. You should put this show on your “things to do” one year. You will love it!
