Remember a week or so ago the excitement at the lake in Central Park? If you missed the post, you can read about it here.
At the time, the focus was more on the commotion than the incredible photo opportunities and pure bliss that row boating provides at the Central Park Boathouse. This activity certainly makes it to my top ten list of things I’ve loved experiencing in NYC! (I just can’t believe it’s taken me four years to do this!)
Weather permitting–from April through November, a fleet of rowboats are available for rent for $12 per hour, $3 for each additional 15 minutes with a $30 deposit. Each boat holds up to 4 people. Life jackets are provided, but know that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pack a picnic, sit back, relax and enjoy the views!
Oh, and there’s also a gondola tour as well. It holds up to six people and can be reserved at $30 for a half hour. That’s a future experience.
So for the next several posts, I’ll share some of my favorite captures…
