ECHO is a new art installation at Madison Square Park in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.
It’s massive and it depicts the head and face of a nine year old girl who lives near the sculptor’s home in Barcelona, Spain. Meant to be a monument to everyday people, the sculptor Jaume Piensa’s aim was to create an intimate place in heart of New York City “in where we can finally repeat the real words of our souls.”
Will be on display until mid-August. Gotta check it out! Incredible!
Oh..I saw (and photographed) this sculpture when I was in the city. It’s absolutely awesome!
