Olmsted and Vaux, you guys ROCK in my book!
Every time I walk through the park it blows my mind that these two had the vision and design skills to create this incredible park back in the 1800’s. Pure geniuses.
Lately I have found myself wandering through a small wilderness section of Central Park (only 38 acres!) just to absorb the beauty of my favorite season; fall.
Streams, arches and woods so quiet all you hear are the squirrels rustling in the leaves and birds fluttering from branch to branch.
Welcome to the Ramble.

Now keep in mind I’m a beginner, so I purchased a Nikon D3000. The lens I used on this photo was a Nikon 35mm 1.8. An inexpensive lens, but I’m very much enjoying practicing with the depth of field.
Central Park is one of the most incredible places I think I’ve ever visited. So much to see especially once you go north away from all the tourists! And for cycling, it can’t be beat from Monday through Friday! Thanks for posting!
