Six years ago I was introduced to Moon Dog Cafe in Chester, Vermont and was totally smitten the moment I looked in their window. With this being my fourth visit to Vermont…I’m more in love with this little cafe than ever.
Bohemian, vintage, and hippy are words that come to mind…think of a marriage between Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters with food tossed in. I recall on my very first visit being introduced to Anahatan’s greeting cards and since then…a number of items (patchouli incense, goat milk soap, an artsy coffee mug) have made it home with me from this little cafe. This visit I picked up one of those adorable slouchy hats for winter. But the food…
Their baked goods and specials included just picked apples and pears…think fresh pear crumb cake…cheescake-filled chocolate bundt cake…and…oh, their portobello mushroom sandwich on bread that was just baked that morning…all fresh organic ingredients…
And with a small place run by locals…we also received sightseeing recommendations…and dutifully reported back after each adventure! ((We had breakfast/lunch here three days out of four!)
What more could visitors ask for? When I find a place that really speaks to me…I so enjoy sharing the love… So if you ever find yourself in Chester, Vermont you must put Moon Dog Cafe on your list. My bet is you’ll be back time after time too.

You’ll have to show us a pic of you wearing your new hat. I’m sure you look adorable in it.
Thanks for sharing.
Love you.

I love everything about Moon Dog Cafe. It’s the kind of place I’m immediately drawn to for all the obvious reasons. Places that take me out of my current life and allow me to fantasize about the ‘what ifs’. What if I hadn’t, what if I could, what if I were? The ruminating ends, I savor the moment and content myself with the thought ‘maybe in my next life’. 😉

Love this! Thanks Patricia for your visit!!
