One of my favorite and most picturesque spots in Central Park…by the pool…
What a surprise to find the newly inscribed personalized plaque on this special bench…as if just for me.
“But if the while I think on thee, dear friend, all losses are restored and sorrows end.”
I think about my father a lot here…I know he’d love this spot…
I so miss him…
<sigh>
Looking forward to the leaves turning…my favorite season just around the corner…
What’s new in your neck of the woods?
If autumn (love that word!) is around the corner for you…do you have any color yet?

Oh, I remember that bench. When I come to visit you in “your city” we always stop and sit there a spell as we are making our way through the beauty of Central Park. I remember one time in particular, I sat there watching you as you got the perfect shot of a flower you had been following that was floating around in the water. It took a little while, but you got that perfect shot just as you always do…, and I so enjoyed watching you as you worked your magic! We are just beginning to see very tiny changes in color here in the Arizona desert… Thank for sharing. Love you!

A truly tranquil spot. I love the word and time of autumn, too. The nicest part of the change in the season around here is that it just gets quieter … a bit less noise & crowds, I love it so much!

Isn’t it wonderful to have your own bench in the park and in such a soulful spot.
This is the place where you can talk to you dad, he is around and he looks at you every time you are there.
I know you miss him dearly, but he is in your heart.
Autumn for me is the sound of the leaves when I walk through them and the wonderful colour between the yellow and reds…
Fabulous pictures again, you made this bench feel proud.
Love and hugs.

So very beautiful and tranquil, Robin. I love the rustic bench and yes, so nice that a plaque has been added that has touched your heart.
I know how much you miss you Daddy and I just know he is with you and shares in the joys that you see, hear an shoot. You are never alone, he is your guardian angel.
I love you.
xoxo

Ditto everything Astrid has just said. YES, I know you must think often of your dear dad, Robin, in so many places and in times you maybe least expect. And on your farm in Virginia, I can just imagine what this time of the year looks like there! Our chestnut trees are turning here, while dropping their nuts. The minute I see that happening, followed by the kids coming with their bags to fill them up, I know autumn is arriving. As far as I’m concerned, it’s here! My favorite time of the year!

These are beautiful and convey a palpable sense of melancholy, I guess that would have fit the mood and your thoughts. Losing those we love and cherish is fraught with heartache and so tangible is the pain it almost tears you in two.
I like your previous posters though firmly believe he is with you, in your heart and around you at your reflective moments.

A beautiful place in one of my favourite parks … but of course you miss your Dad. It’s sad, but wouldn’t it be awful not to miss him?

What a majestic spot to to fill your soul with your daddy’s spirit. I so wish I had a place like this to meditate on a regular basis. It is breathtaking!!!! As you know, fall is my favorite time of year too. All the spectacular colors of orange, yellow’s and reds popping up and the sun just hitting the trees right. It truly fills my soul and always takes my breath away!!!! Saw a bit of color in Colorado and hope to see more when I go to MN the first part of Oct. Wrapping you in love and hugs my dear!!!! I miss you tons!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
