What I learned exploring Phnom Penh, Cambodia…
It takes acrobatic acts to bring home the groceries…
It’s normal to balance children on your motorbike…
There’s organized chaos in their traffic jams…
There’s more than just Buddhist temples in Cambodia…
Alfresco hair salons are very popular…
Health inspections? I don’t think so…
Afternoon snoozes are a must…
People of all ages are soooo friendly!
The best way to tour the Mekong Islands is through Grasshopper Adventures…
The best bicycle tour ever crossing the Mekong river by boat,
riding through communities on quiet back roads,
cycling through rice paddies and orchards,
enjoying the peaceful farmland
and learning about the lives of the people who live there.
Priceless!
Coming up…the final leg of my trip…Siem Reap, Cambodia…stay tuned!

Oh my frissy, these photos are amazing. I love them all but especially the one of the woman with the red and white checked cloth wrapped around her head, with her bra showing, taking her afternoon nap…, she just doesn’t give a care about who comes by to see her. Love it, and you! Thanks for sharing. xoxo

You’ve hit another one out of the park, Robin. What a place. What a different way of living life to the fullest! I’m so glad you got to see it up close and personal like this. You’ll never forget it.

Ha, ha, Virginia’s comment cracked me up, I had to go back and check her bra! It’s so true, though, I always wondered how people can sleep in public. I never could. Heck, it’s 3:30am and I can’t even sleep now!
What a difference between the crowded city and the communities on the island you saw on bicycle!
Reminds me of Cozumel. We saw a family of 5 on a scooter, with packages! The acrobatics involved is
amazing to watch. And the American kids wear helmets and knee and elbow pads just to roller skate. Those kids could probably juggle 3 American kids while riding on a scooter with their family while holding mangos.
What’s with the face masks, though? Is it because of the congestion of people?
Great captures, as always.
XOXO

Now see I’m one that can sleep anywhere. I can’t tell you how many flights I almost missed in my life time because I went to sleep waiting! The face masks are probably for pollution. There’s always burning in the fields, so that’s my guess. THANK YOU always for dropping in with your wonderful comments! xo

Your so right to have all those pictures of people with everything you could imagine on their bikes. It really is amazing what they can get on there without the whole thing tumbling over. As always colourful, perceptive and vibrant photographs which convey the atmosphere. Looks like a brilliant trip 🙂
