Strollers in NYC

Ok, it’s been 10 months now of living in the city and my posts are always more on the positive side. Isn’t that typical when you first fall in love with something? Everything is perfect? Well, from the get go I can tell you ONE thing that I didn’t fall in love with… STROLLERS. Not a single stroller, but the double and triple seated ones. So why is it that these mothers think they can yack on their cell phones and take up the whole sidewalk oblivious to everyone around them?

So imagine my enjoyment a few weeks ago when I walked past this stroller. Now that is the perfect use for this double wide. Bolted to a sign post and full of snow.

And while I have the attention of any mothers out there reading this that live here in the city AND have a nanny…I can’t tell you how many times I have witnessed nannies leaving your children totally unattended or letting your small children trail 10 or 15 feet behind. And I bet you are telling yourself right now…”Oh, NOT my nanny.” Yeah, right. How do you know?
