I’m anticipating a travel night from hell…but I’m trying to be optimistic. Sitting here in the Roanoke airport adding an order of fries to a portion of my mom’s “to go” beef roast. Yum Yum. I only wish I could’ve had my roast with everything else she was cooking today! Oh well, and did I mention that I’m on my second vodka tonic? Typical airport even in little Roanoke. Nine bucks for a vodka tonic that has about two swallows to it. But, there is a wedge of lemon. I’m sure that upped the cost.
Anyway, all flights to Charlotte with the exception of mine have been delayed. The one scheduled for 5:00 p.m. is now scheduled for 10:00 p.m. Hmm…interesting that my 7:58 p.m. flight to Charlotte is showing on time. Go figure. Either I’ll be sleeping in the Roanoke airport or the Charlotte airport. Ooops…forgot I’m trying to be optimistic!!!
If all is on schedule I should be in the Gotham Den by 2:00 a.m. Stay tuned for another update, hopefully from Charlotte!

Lots of guys with shovels, a snow blower and Dad’s tractor made it all happen! Arrived safely home around 3:00 a.m. I was so hoping to see you but it turned out to be such a busy week. We must get together on my next visit! Hugs and love, gg
