My blog will have an Indian flavor for the next several posts before I get back to what’s happening here in Gotham. It’s so hard to resist sharing what I just experienced during my visit to India. My hopes are always to enlighten and educate through my eyes and words…
Like I ♥ New York and Virginia is for lovers, India’s tourism slogan is Incredible India.
A country filled with extreme poverty, corruption and unreliable infrastructure is not what I initially think of as incredible. But when you really think about the definition, it is the perfect description. Incredible; beyond belief. So incredible it seems impossible.
It’s the contrasts that are so hard to believe. Let’s start with the women of India.
As they balance dung, bricks, supplies (or really anything) they walk with the most perfect posture. They’re accessorized and coiffed. They wear the most beautiful coordinated colors in their sari or shalwar kameez regardless if they’re working the fields, herding water buffalo or walking through the streets filled with garbage and beggars.
Let me introduce to you some of the incredible women of India…
More contrasts and experiences to come!

I finally sat down, and took the time your blog deserves….
I’m as always very impressed for your photos, words and subtil evolution.
To me INDIA represents that other you :-)… simplicity of reality
Don’t have theneed to touch those images right? so much going on already, so much passion, history, life, sadness,,,, all those emotions that you trasmit…. you’ve got the eye, and you know what you want to show, and I see it, and most of all feel it.
Idon’t know if it’s because I’m growing up, and my teen years are pretty much gone,Im a young man now… I find harder to say in words what I feel, so I let my emotions and thoughts manifest thmselves…. and yes… here I am all happy and sad and kind of fragil too,,,, because those words I can’t say, the phrases I can’t make anymore, are represeted in your work,,,, and this just happens to me,and I’m sure everyone has a different experience….
I think is the magic of art, isn’t it?
Thank you for showing us the world through your eyes, those aren’t just photos Robin,,,, those are seconds of your memory made Image….
much love, peace and happyness to u…
